One way car rental in Gran Canaria is booked with a pickup point and a separate return point, and each car in the results is quoted for that pair and the dates entered.

A rental that starts with a pickup at the airport is met in arrivals. The driver's licence must expire no earlier than the end of the rental, wherever the car is returned.

How do I search for a different return point?

The form has a pickup point and a separate return-location choice. Changing either point, or the dates, can change the cars shown.

Meloneras and Puerto Rico are among the resort delivery options, alongside San Bartolome de Tirajana and Bahia Feliz. At each of the four, the car is delivered to the address given within that town.

The voucher carries the collection instructions and the rental agent's contact details.

How should I compare any return charge?

Results for the type of vehicle you need quote each car for the pickup and return pair entered. The car data has no separate one-way fee, so any charge for a different return point is inside that car's quoted price.

Delivery cost is set per car in the car data, not per town.

The deposit, its refund timeline and the method for paying the remaining balance are stated per car during booking and in the voucher. A required credit card must be a physical embossed card in the main driver's name, carried at pickup.

When does returning elsewhere fit a trip?

A return point different from the pickup point is chosen in the search. A car collected at the airport and returned at a resort point ends the rental without the drive back to the airport, and a car collected at a resort point and returned at the airport starts without the drive out from it.

From the airport, the drive out takes twenty seven minutes to Playa del Ingles, thirty one to Meloneras and thirty nine to Puerto Rico in free-flow conditions.

For Meloneras, the drive back to the airport takes twenty nine minutes. For a stay ending in Puerto Rico, it takes thirty eight. From Playa del Ingles it takes twenty five minutes, and from Maspalomas twenty eight.

Can I leave the car on another island?

The pickup and return points offered in the search are all on Gran Canaria.

Travel between the Canary Islands by ferry is allowed only in cars approved for it. Approval is set per vehicle; ask before booking to choose an approved car.

Which driver and card conditions should I check?

The driver's minimum age and driving experience are listed on each car's page and can vary even between similar models. The rental agent can refuse the car at any time to a driver who does not meet them.

The licence must be a valid national licence with details in Latin script. Copies and electronic licences are not accepted, and an International Driving Permit is strongly recommended where a licence is valid only in its issuing country.

The phone number given at booking must be reachable throughout the rental and on the day before pickup.

The voucher carries the rental agent's contact details.

What should I allow for at return?

Ending elsewhere leaves the fuel-return condition and chargeable period unchanged: the car reaches its return point with the fuel level it was collected with, and the minimum charge is twenty four hours. A lower fuel level is charged at the rental company's rates, and a higher level is not refunded. A car returned so dirty that it hinders inspection is washed at the renter's expense. An extension needs advance notice to the rental agent.

The last leg to a different return point needs paved public roads throughout, which the rental driving conditions require of every drive in the rental. Mileage terms are set per car: some models have no limit, others a daily limit or a total for the rental.

What insurance conditions should I read?

An insured event on the way to a new return point still has to be reported to the rental agent at once, with a police report, unless agreed otherwise with the agent, to keep the cover for the selected car in place. Standard insurance does not cover damage to wheels, undercarriage, windscreen or interior, and higher cover levels are listed on the car.

Deliberate damage through intentional vandalism or neglect invalidates the insurance.

Frequently asked questions

These answers cover the practical questions behind the rental. For an existing booking, your voucher identifies the rental agent and the agreed arrangements.

Can I search airport collection with a south-coast return?

Yes. Select Gran Canaria Airport for pickup and a south-coast point for return; the search shows which return points a car allows.

How do I check the cost of returning somewhere different?

Search with the pickup and return points you want. The car data has no separate one-way fee, so any charge for the different return point is inside each car's quoted price.

Can I change the return location after booking?

The return point is set in the search at booking, together with the pickup point and dates. The rental terms set no rule for changing it afterwards; for an existing booking, the rental agent's contact details are on the voucher.

Does returning locally remove the airport journey from my holiday?

A resort return ends the rental at the resort. The drive from Playa del Ingles to the airport is 25 minutes, and from Maspalomas 28.

Can I leave the car on another island?

The return points offered in the search are all on Gran Canaria. Ferry travel between the islands is allowed only in cars approved for it, per vehicle; ask before booking.
